Here's one lesson we can all learn from Rwanda
Just 28 years after the Genocide, Rwanda is setting an example for the rest of the continent to follow.
The 1994 Genocide brought Rwanda to one of the lowest points in its history.
With over 800,000 people dead, Rwandans experienced severe famine, economic decline, mass rape, and continuing political unrest.
We can all remember the gruesome scenes depicted in the movie “"Hotel Rwanda” featuring Paul Rusesabagina played by Don Cheadle, which paints pictures we would not like to entertain.
Only 28 years later, Rwanda is setting an example for other African nations. Leading in science and technology, entrepreneurship, and youth development, the country has become the second easiest place to do business in Africa with only 6 hours of business registration time.
When I visited Rwanda earlier this year, I marveled not only at the beautiful physical infrastructure but also at the sophisticated cultural melange, and amazing cleanliness and orderliness.
