You would have a higher chance of getting into Harvard than becoming a One Young World Ambassador. I did it anyway!
Here's how I pulled it off.
One Young World is the most exclusive network for Young Leaders around the world. With an acceptance rate of less than 1 percent (the acceptance of Harvard and most Ivy League Colleges is 5 percent), the network stands out as the most elitist network of young leaders driving change not only in their communities but in their countries all together.
Reflecting on my experience as a Digital Delegate at One Young World 2022 Summit in Manchester, I wish to share a few learning points with you.
I was rejected TWO years in a row. But I did not give up applying.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle recants that it is “The best think tank imaginable”
It has opened up my leadership and entrepreneurial career to a plethora of opportunities. Through my engagement as a One Young World Ambassador, I have had exclusive opportunities not only to receive mentorship from leading entrepreneurs in Africa, but to also access resources which have been instrumental, to say the least.
Yes, the reputation too :). Being a OYW Ambassador is a big deal. I mention it, and gain access into rooms many people would not be able to. Its the real FLEX.
And many others.
President Bill Clinton says the network is a refined expert in “Stimulating exciting and wonderful – full of ideas and entrepreneurialism.”
If you are a young leader, this is a network I recommend that you join. I will be offering mentorship for a few people intending to apply for this year’s summit in Belfast, UK. There are opportunities for full funding. Message me here to join the mentorship.
